FAQ's

“Will any magnet work”?
No. A regular magnet hasn’t got the power to break up hydrocarbon bonds. FuelEx does have that power.

“What is Hydrocarbon anyway”?
Hydrocarbon is a chemical compound composed of carbon and hydrogen. It is distilled from crude oil to make many forms of fuel such as gasoline, diesel oil, paraffin etc.

“What are hydrocarbon clusters”?
These are groups of hydrocarbon molecules that attract each other and cling together. This causes many molecules to become “trapped” inside the cluster and therefore unavailable for burning.

“Why can’t the oil companies pre-treat the fuel before we buy it”?
Unused Fuel remains treated for only a short time. As it leaves the influence of a magnetic field, the beneficial condition is quickly lost. That’s why the process has to happen immediately before the fuel is ignited !

“Why install the FuelEX 100mm away from electronic sensors”?
Modern engine management systems use several built in sensors which are fitted very close to the combustion chamber. Placing the FuelEX unit in near proximity to them could transmit false signals back to the main CPU thus causing an incorrect fuel mixture to be fed into the engine.

“How does the FuelEX internally clean the engine”?
Over time a car engine will build up carbon deposits as the result of incomplete combustion, which takes place in all engines. The conditioned fuel from the FuelEX 1 unit helps to break up these deposits so that they can be removed.

“How does the FuelEX reduce harmful emissions”?
The FuelEX reduces harmful emissions by creating a more complete combustion of the fuel. All standard fuels suffer from significant amounts of Partial Combustion in any engine. This is due to the “clustering” described before. This means that all the fuel is not completely burned up, and Partially Combusted fuel forms harmful gases such as deadly Carbon Monoxide. The FuelEX unit conditions the fuel to achieve more complete combustion, thus leaving much less carbon around to form these harmful by-products. Less oxygen is also left over to form other harmful Nitrogen and Sulphur Dioxides. When this more complete and cleaner combustion is achieved, the main emissions from carbon combustion are Carbon Dioxide and Water. Both are harmless to the human body.

“Do I need to adjust the engine’s fuel system”?
No. Modern fuel injection systems are self adjusting. Carburettors should be properly tuned in the first place before fitting the FuelEX 1 and again after stabilisation. Re-tuning of the “cleaner engine” after stabilisation of the FuelEX 1 unit is always a good way to achieve the new optimum combustion.

“What is the stabilisation period”?
This is the time taken to dissolve the carbon/varnish build up in the engine and fully magnetically saturate all the steel parts between the Fuel unit and the combustion chamber. It usually takes approx. 1,500 Km or 4 to 6 weeks.

“What if I can’t install the FuelEX 1 close to the engine induction system”?
Although the FuelEX 1 works best close to the engine induction system, it has been tested up to 800mm away and still gives excellent results.

“Is the FuelEX1 unit difficult to install”?
On most vehicles installation only takes a few minutes. Just make sure that you are fitting it to the correct fuel line. There are two fuel lines between the tank and engine on fuel injection systems. Be certain to fit it onto the supply line. If you choose the wrong line nothing will happen!
